Days for Girls’ (DfG) is an organization that was created to give girls and women a chance. The founder and CEO of the organization had a burden to provide an education and a solution for menstruating females who would otherwise miss school and work because of the lack of sanitary napkins. VUNA has teamed up with DfG to provide sanitary kits for women and girls and so far, over 250 women from Pokot have benefited from this joint initiative. We are planning to continue this initiative and to help more women.
Meet Sheila.  It was her dream to become a medical doctor, but this dream was cut short because she could not afford sanitary pads. Living with HIV/AIDS today, she works with our Girl Child Empowerment/Days for Girls Program to empower other underprivileged girls by making sustainable, affordable and accessible sanitary napkins for all.

To help us with this initiative, donate or sign up for our mission trip to Turkana. Together, we can bring freedom and a bright future for many young girls and women.

Past Empowerment Programs: On March 8, 2018 and October 11, 2017, we joined the world in raising awareness of issues facing young girls around the world with these posters below
